Week 9 Reading Reflection

Week 9 Reading Reflection

  1. What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?

I was most surprised that I could not find in the readings of all the different survey research models a percentage or number of actual people that you could turn into paying customers for your product or services. I noticed it spoke about response rates, but not actual sales.

  1. Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.

I was really confused about pricing strategy checklist. How does a ban new entrepreneur even know how to do all these different steps during the life cycle of their products?

  1. If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?

  1. Where or how does a new business owner ever determine or find out all of the information needed about consumer characteristics?
  2. Who actually came up with the personal characteristic attributes? Are there other attributes identified that could help you make some marketing decisions that could benefit your business?

  1. Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?

I didn’t really see anything that I disagreed with, but I was amazed about how complex hitting the right marketing mix is so crucial to having a successful business.
